Kiev is the city where the new and the old create wonderful possibilities for historical and aesthetical tourism. Nevertheless, before you become a visitor to this fabulous city, take some time to figure out at least 2 questions: where you will spend your nights and how you are going to get around the place.

Let us consider choosing a place to stay. Depending on what you can afford and your tastes, you can either choose to stay in a Kiev hotel, or rent an apartment. Mind the class of Kiev hotels to evaluate the quality of the service and accommodation and the price you are willing to pay for it.

The Ukrainian capital boasts of several five and four star hotels. There are literary dozens of less luxurious Kiev accommodation opportunities. A luxury accommodation is going to be approximately $400-850 per night, 4 stars will cost $150-$500, three stars will be about $70-300, two stars will be from $50 to 120 and 1 star hotels cost around 25-100 per night.

There are also a couple of hostels in the city for students and young people. In an ordinary hostel you can find modest but fresh accommodation and several sofas or beds in one and the same room.

In case you want to spare some money, you might want to rent an apartment. For the cost of a modest hotel room in the price range of $90-150 you could rent a luxury flat in the downtown. Single room cheep flats may be rent for no more than $50. Many companies that allow you to rent this kind of Kyiv apartments may even offer to meet you when you arrive. It would be much safer to book the flat at least a couple of days in advance.
